Details: This fine small head and shoulders portrait in oil on canvas of Sophia Morrison (1806-
Sophia was the eldest daughter of David and Sophia Morrison (nee Brooke) and was a relative of Archdeacon Park of Jamaica.
Early labels with these descriptions are affixed to the reverse.
The portrait is in its original elaborate frame with an unusual feature, a glazed frontal opening ‘door’, the key to which has been lost.
The condition of both painting and frame is fine; the frame has had some refurbishing.
